Eiainn Black is the professional name of Ian Milton. With over 20 years experience of stage, cabaret and parlour magic, I present my magic in a more immersive and theatrical way. Using spiritism, occult and bizarre themes I weave strange stories around weird and haunted artefacts and antiques that chill and thrill audiences.

I have a performing show called Black & Storm with my colleague Celestia Storm that is based currently at the Haunted Antiques and Paranormal Research Centre in Hinckley, Leicestershire. Why not drop in and have a haunting?

I also perform ‘normal’ magic for the living and have a comedy cabaret that caters for the lighter side of life.

A working career background in Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths makes me question the how & why of anything I could not clearly understand.

The magic interest was sparked in late 1980's, whilst perusing a friends book collection, I came across Bill Tarr's Now You See It, Now You Don't: Lessons in Sleight of Hand, and magic stayed an interest when married with children doing dad jokes, sleight of hand & illusions for my 2 kids.

During family walkabouts, I would always stop to watch any performance whether that be magician, juggler or street artist, much to my wife & children's dismay.

I can’t recall if it was in search of a birthday, anniversary or Christmas present idea of a masterclass with a magician, that my wife discovered & enlightened me to the existence of the Coventry Magic Circle, closely followed by an enquiry, application, audition & membership since 2012.

I am a enthusiastic hobbyist magician with an interest in fundraising & supporting charity events.

I enjoy all aspects of magic, card, rope, coins, rings, bands as well as circus, unicycle ball & club juggling, fire eating, body burn, body freak illusions & carney side show entertainment.

Enjoying retirement but still yearning to run away & join the circus to be a unicycle riding, club juggling & fire eating clown.

Rob “SweetDeceptionMagic” has been doing magic for nearly 5 years now. As a young boy he watched “Breaking The Magicians Code” and “The Quick Trick Show” with Stephen Mulhern and was instantly hooked on magic.

He joined Coventry Magic Circle in 2019 and met a great group of magicians who mentored him and showed him the ropes. He went to a magic convention in 2023 and was reminded of how fun and mysterious magic can be.

He does card, coins and fire magic, but his favourite is getting into people’s heads and influencing them to think of something, or telling them what they are thinking! He has performed at weddings, birthdays and even a baby shower.

As for the name Sweet Deception he always wanted to deceive his spectators, surprise and entertain. As his surname is Sweet he thought this was the perfect name and, if you see him perform, you may even get a sweet produced by a ball of fire from a lighter!
